I recommend that your jewellery be cleaned to maintain its' beauty . Usually cleaning with a jewellery cleaning cloth will help. However sometimes you may need to remove soap and/or hand cream residues. You can do this using jewellery cleaner that you can purchase at your local department store.  Please be sure it is for SILVER.  All Swarovski Crystals, Czech Glass, Lampwork, Glass may go into the jewellery cleaners. Fresh water pearls and semi precious stones can be cleaned in cleaner that is for Semi Precious Gems.  

When you are not wearing, or when storing, your jewellery should be kept in a plastic ziplock style bag and sealed.
Your jewellery should be put on after you have applied any perfumes, hairsprays or cosmetics. This will not expose your jewellery to solutions which could discolour or coat the jewellery with sticky films. The sticky film would allow dust and dirt to adhere to the surface of the jewellery.
